ForeVolt Privacy Policy

ForeVolt (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Gage Dunstan (“we”, “us”, “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Summary

ForeVolt uses Firebase Authentication to let you create an account and sign in.
ForeVolt uses Apple’s StoreKit to manage subscriptions and free trials.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not run third-party advertising in the App.
Where possible, battery simulations run locally on your device.

2. Information we collect

A) Account information (Firebase Authentication)

If you sign up or sign in, we may process:

Email address
Firebase user identifier (UID)
Authentication metadata (e.g., sign-in timestamps)

This data is used to:

Create and maintain your account
Let you sign in securely
Support account recovery and account deletion requests

B) Subscription and purchase information (Apple StoreKit)

Subscriptions, trials, and payment processing are handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment details.

We may access limited purchase/entitlement information via StoreKit to determine:

Whether you have an active subscription
Whether you are currently in a trial
Whether you are entitled to Pro features

C) Usage data

ForeVolt does not intentionally collect analytics for advertising or tracking.

If you contact support, we will receive whatever information you choose to include in your email.

3. How we use your information

We use information only to:

Provide access to the App and its features
Enforce feature access (e.g., Demo vs Trial vs Pro)
Maintain account security
Provide support and respond to requests
Comply with legal obligations where required

4. Data storage and retention

Account data is stored and processed using Firebase Authentication.
Trial/PDF export limits may be stored locally on your device using system storage (e.g., UserDefaults) to enforce trial rules.
If/when cloud saving features are introduced (e.g., saved vehicles, simulations, reports), we will update this policy to describe what is stored and where.

We retain account data for as long as your account exists, unless deletion is requested.

We do not sell your information.

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the App:

Google Firebase (authentication services)
Apple (subscriptions and payments via StoreKit)

We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Your choices and rights

Account access

You can sign in/out within the App.
You can request account deletion using the in-app “Delete account” flow (where available).

Deleting your account

When you delete your account:

Your authentication record will be removed.
If you later add cloud saving, deletion will also remove saved vehicles, simulations, and reports (where applicable).

7. Children’s privacy

ForeVolt is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.

8. Third-party policies (Apple Terms and Privacy)

ForeVolt uses Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA) and Apple’s privacy information:

Apple’s terms and policies apply to your Apple ID, purchases, and billing.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version.
